Jacob's Piano Recital - 2014

Jacob had a great day today at his piano recital. He played Toccata and Fugue, Chopsticks (duet - high notes), and Linus and Lucy (duet - low notes).

Jacob had his first piano recital today. We never know what is going to happen when he gets in front of the piano. He did great! He listened to Mr. Bond and played his three songs on stage in front of a  big audience.

Jacob has been listening to a video of Toccata and Fugue for the last week or so. He has been figuring out how to play it on the piano.

Jacob is learning the difference between fast and slow. Here is the same song when I asked if he could play it fast...

One of Jacob's favorite songs is Adele's "Someone Like You". Here is his rendition of the intro to that song.

I know it's juvenile, but I can't help laughing.

Jacob will play along with his favorite songs. Here he waits until it gets to his favorite part and then joins in.

Jacob is still a little wobbly in this video from a few weeks ago, but he has been getting more and more stable over the last several weeks. He knows the layout of our living room, so he feels comfortable moving from place to place. He has started to explore the kitchen and foyer, too.

Jacob has learned to play several nursery rhymes just by listening to his toys. Here he plays Old MacDonald. Not bad for a 2 year old who can't see the keys!
